Sunday, September 21
1:30 – 3:30 pm
Join our 2014 artists and jurors in front of the hanging work at Strickland’s on Sunday, September 21, from 1:30-3:30. It’s the
second annual Slow Exposures JAM (Jurors and Artists Mingling) where both artists and jurors will be sharing stories and experiences about the work and their process. It’s an informal event where conversations create on-the-spot discoveries, and future collaboration, friendships and artistic exchange. And, some of the work may be specially priced just for this event!
Kevin Miller, Director of the Southeastern Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, was one of the 2013 Jurors. He says this about the experience:
The JAM at Slow Exposures 2013 was a great sharing event where the entire audience, all the photographers and the jurors were able to mix, mingle and engage. All the exhibiting photographers had the chance to offer some great insights and background to their pieces and to receive the perspective of both the other photographers and the visiting critics. The audience was able to fully participate as well in what proved to be a very thoughtful, enjoyable and stimulating dialogue for the other artists.
